Created for a multi-year fundraising effort by Bentley
School in Oakland and Lafayette, California. "Building
for the Future" captures both the literal facilities-oriented
purpose of the capital campaign, as well as the more aspirational
goals.
For Nuance, a leading supplier of speech recognition and speaker
verification software, Master-McNeil created the tagline "Speech.
Understanding. Action." Designed to explain what might otherwise
be a company name whose meaning is subtle and somewhat obscure,
our new tagline clearly describes the benefits of the company's
products.

This name, originally developed for Farallon Communications' family
of high-speed ISDN routers and modems, was adopted as the new company
name in 1997. Our name Netopia suggests "Internet utopia"
(an ideally perfect place), the best possible of Internet experience.
As part of our work with Netopia, Master-McNeil also developed the
positioning slogan "What the Internet Experience Should Be"
to accompany our name.

We worked with The California Academy of Sciences to develop a
tag line to better convey the Academy's offerings, and to make it
seem friendlier and less "academic." Our tag line, Earth,
Ocean, Space, which was further developed by the Academy as "Earth,
Ocean, Space, All in One Place" conveys the three components
of the Academy: the Natural History Museum, Steinhart Aquarium,
and Morrison Planetarium. |
